KDiff3 is the best diff front-end on Windows
Seriously, KDiff has been among the best diff front-ends, GUI or console. KDiff is now Kompare and I still think it's great.
At work, I have been using windiff that comes with I think VS6, so I looked for kdiff on Windows, but instead found kdiff3. Looks like it's different program, but I found it's great, much better than windiff.

print your own business card
I remember printing your own business cards was a big deal, at least for me, back when I was a kid running DOS.
Today it's super cheap to have someone print it for you, but that doesn't mean you can't DIY yourself a nice business cards. In that case you will need GLabels to design your cards.
Anyway, why I think printing your own business cards is no longer a big deal? Well, it's still cool to design your own cards, but cutting them out from a A4 is a pain. If all you have is a scissor, better have someone print and cut for you.

sk1 - yes, that the name - is vector drawing program
When it comes to vector drawing on Linux, you probably think of Inkscape.
Well, sk1 is pretty good too. The fact that it has CMYK & color management, Corel Draw & Adobe Illustrator compatible doesn't hurt either.
Being forked from Sketch 0.6.15 by a real printing firm means that sk1 has all the features that printing firm needs, which is probably cover what *we* need pretty well. So give it a try!

Yum says TypeError: unsubscriptable object
I was updating CentOS by running usual 'yum update', but yum reported an error with message:
TypeError: unsubscriptable object
Something is wrong in its python script. After a few moment googling, the solution is to run
yum clean metadata
then follow by
yum update
problem solved.

MultiMonitor Taskbar found your missing taskbar
This is one small Windows utility that big in usefulness, for people who like using multiple monitors.
When you span your screen over two or more monitors, the taskbar would still shows in one main monitor. This program will extend the taskbar to second monitor, and the best part is it will only displays items on that windows. Very nice!
There is a commercial version, but free version is still available.

GChemPaint is for painting a chem thing
Back when I was a science student I used MS word (6, on Windows 3.1 no less) to draw chemical structures for my assignments and it was a pain. Real pain.
Now you have all kind of chemical structure drawing programs, free and not, and one is GChemPaint (which is GPL lisensed, by the way).
Man, students have it easy these days...
